30 Day Shred - Day 8
Woo! I was contemplating skipping today, but I’m glad I worked out :) I’m getting better with the weights; I have a lot more endurance with them! But the side lunges with shoulder raises KILL me. I have a hard time doing more than a couple. By the time I finish Level 1, I imagine I’ll be able to do them, but ugh. It’s those and the static lunges with bicep curls that I suck so hard at!
But I’m exhausted! Oh man!
I hope everyone is kicking ass today :)
Non-scale victory
Today when I put on my freshly washed jeans, they went on really easily. This doesn’t sound all that interesting, but I usually have to fight with my clean jeans to get them all the way up and buttoned and all of that.
This was nice because I had a belly full of nutritious food and water! I feel like I would usually have to work extra hard to put on jeans if I had just eaten.
Sweet!
30 Day Shred - Day 7
Nothing really interesting to report today. I had to stop about 20 minutes in because I was getting light-headed. I finished strong though! I’m hoping that by the time I’m done with Day 10, I’ll be able to do all the strength moves with the weights for the entire time. I have 5 pound weights, and I’m thinking that maybe I should have bought 3 pound weights to start out with…
Also, I tried out the avocado on toast with kiwi! It was sooo delicious!!!
Going to go shower, then make a post-workout snack and probably play some video games. Have a good day everyone!!!
Ways to eat an avocado!
- In chunks, drizzled with a little olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pepper, and salt
- Spread on toast/bread and topped with sliced kiwi
- Cut in chunks and paired with mozzarella, basil and drizzled with olive oil

I’m not going to worry about this too much because I started Shark Week this week, and I think that might be fucking with that number. I felt really shitty about it earlier, but after talking to my best friend, I’ve calmed down a bit.
Definitely going to do the 30DS tomorrow before I go to work! I hope everyone is having a good week so far.
